Batman Arkham City Review

This game review might make you think that I’m a batman fan or I’m acting like a kid. Hold your thoughts
because after you read this review you are going to change your mind. Today I’m going to give you a review on one of my favourite games Batman Arkham City.

It is based on an open world action-adventure, with a little flavor of suspense, game which also incorporates elements of stealth games, made by Rocksteady Studios. It is presented from the third-person perspective. It is the sequel to the 2009 video game Batman Arkham Asylum (which was also a great hit; I might talk about it some other time).

 What’s Good?
The Game’s Plot is really amazing and full of twists and turns; Gives a realistic world filled with authentic details; Superb combat skills with great combos; Vast varieties of Gadgets; Stealth, Detective skills is really remarkable; Flying over the rooftops of Arkham City is really cool; Interesting mini-games; Bonus features, DLC gives an extra punch to the game

What’s Bad?
Boss fights are really easy (sorry I couldn’t find anything else)

The Arkham City is completely open with no boundaries and Batman move anywhere (even at the very beginning of the game). Batman can move silently and use a combination of gadgets and stealth moves to sneak up or incapacitate enemies. Using Batman’s cape and grapnel gun, Batman can glide around the city. The Detective mode is a visual mode which can highlight and forensic details and also for finding or solving clues and puzzles.  The improved free-flow combat system, counter attacks, gadgets and a great variety of enemies give fighting a whole new level.

The game is set in Arkham City, a big prison facility in Gotham City, where Batman has to stop “Protocol Ten” from taking place. In the beginning Bruce Wayne attends a press conference where he is later kidnaped by Prof. Strange Hugo. Strange Hugo comes to know Bruce Wayne’s dual identity as Batman. Wait no, in the beginning Catwoman tries to steal something and later gets trapped by Two-Face. Bruce Wayne escapes from Hugo and obtains his equipment and suit by an airdrop issued by Alfred, his butler.

Batman teams up with Catwoman to stop this commotion, after saving her from an execution ordered by Two-Face. Batman, thinking that Joker knows something about “Protocol Ten”, tracks Joker and finds out that Joker’s blood is mutating due to the unstable side-effects in the Titan formula which is killing him. But Joker has different plans with Batman; he entraps him and performs a blood transfusion putting Batman’s life at stake. Now his only hope is Mister Freeze.

Batman is now struggling with his life and burdened by multiple problems which keeps both his life and his city’s safety at risk. Furthermore he has to face problems with The Penguin, The Riddler, Zsasz, Ra's al Ghul and many other rivalries and inmates. Catwoman also tries to help him out.

The game is really great and has a very powerful plot. The game’s ending is epic, where… (Wait! Why spoil the suspense? Find it out by yourself). The twist and turns are really great which makes the game interesting.
