NOKIA Lumia 920 Review

The NOKIA Lumia 920 is a smart phone which has all. Other than other smart phones the NOKIA Lumia
has surprised the people with their exquisite and unique features, which we will be discussing later on. It is the first one to support wireless charging, which made our life’s easier. It’s one of a kind camera is something which makes this innovative smart phone truly unique and powerful.

The NOKIA Lumia 920 is packed with a 1.5 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon and 1 GB RAM makes your work faster. The best of all it comes with the latest Windows Phone 8 OS. The 4.7” (~332 ppi pixel density) Pure Motion HD+ ClearBlack with Corning Gorilla Glass 2 gives a big, bold, clear and vivid display for videos and photos, and thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass 2 you don’t need to be scared of any cracks or scratches on it. The different body colours give more beauty and style to the phone.

For the photo enthusiasts, it comes with an 8.7 megapixel of photographic goodness. With its Carl Zeiss Optics and Pure View Technology, the photos are better, clear and more realistic. Even in low light the photograph is amazing. It’s definitely is the best option for people who loves to take photographs. But on the other hand, the images are not as good as expected which was quite humiliating. You can record videos in 1080p@30fps with image stabilization making it more realistic. The smart shoot is something cool, thanks to that you can get the right picture without having to take again and again.

The wireless charging is unique and it is the first of its kind. But charging is very slow and it sometimes it overheats to a high extent and it reboots. Battery life is very low and charging is very slow; even when it is connect. So it is not exactly suitable for intense usage and for making long calls. Also, you cannot change the battery as it is built in but this feature is available in NOKIA Lumia 820 and it’s called smart cells.

The body dimensions are 130.3 x 70.8 x 10.7 mm, however, the phone weighs 185g which puts the question in its portability.

Not meant for people who loves apps as Windows Phone 8 OS doesn’t have apps like Android or iOS, which was really a shame. But they might change it in the distant future.

The sound quality, active noise cancellation, video stabilization and the Dolby Headphone sound enhancement gives an extra punch. The OS is easy to use and has a really stylish user interface. The Microsoft office app along with free 7GB SkyDrive storage makes our lives much easier, and you can do all your work on the go.

The People Hub is clever and easy-to-use, you can connect with your various contacts in Facebook, LinkedIn, Email, Twitter, Skype and many other social networking sites so that you can be up to date all the time.

The X-Box is a very innovative app which has redefined gaming in mobile phones. Just simply create an account, download and play. Unfortunately, most of the apps are to be paid. The Nokia Drive and City Lens make’s sure that you don’t get lost and gives the quickest and safest routes throughout any city in the world.

So I’ll say that the NOKIA Lumia 920 is full of surprises, suitable for photographers and people who love social networking. It’s good for photographers too. Not good for app or game enthusiasts. Not suitable for businessmen and people who needs intense usage and long battery life. Not good for travelling either. For people who want to try something new and innovative, this is the best option.
