How to Add Tabs to Your Blog or Categorize your Posts

Many of my friends asked how to add tabs in our blog, either to make categories or anything else. There are three ways to do this, but first of all you have to add labels to your posts.

  1.By Adding pages

Go to Pages and select Top Tabs in Show pages as. Make pages, either Blank Pages or Web Address.

To make categories you can give Blank Pages, but you can only make Static Pages you cannot sort your posts. Select Web Address give the Title and give this URL http://<your blog URL>/search/label/<Label Name>

  2. By Adding Labels Gadget

Go to Layout and click Add a Gadget under Header and select Labels. Add the labels you want to use and that’s one way to do so, but here you cannot add a gadget for home.

  3. By Adding a Link List Gadget

Go to Layout and click Add a Gadget under Header and select Link List. Give the URL http://<your blog URL>/search/label/<Label Name> and give a name for your link. For adding a Home tab give the URL http://<your blog URL> and name it Home or anything you wish.
